The right room can see what no one person can see alone.

The useful information is already present, but held by different people. I design and facilitate a focused conversation so the group can compare perspectives, name the issue and decide what happens next.

Usually ninety minutes · Six to twelve people

The answer is already present, just distributed.

One person understands the customer. Another knows the operation. Someone else can name what the team has stopped discussing. The issue stays stuck because those perspectives rarely meet in one conversation.

I prepare the question with the host, make it easier for people to speak plainly, test assumptions as they surface and keep the group focused on a decision it can use.

Business issues a Room can address

Issue 01

AI is changing the basis of value, but the implications are still unclear.

Issue 02

Growth has created an inflection point in leadership, ownership or operating model.

Issue 03

Important judgment and customer knowledge still live mainly in the founder's or leader's head.

Issue 04

A partnership looks promising, but the structure or incentives do not yet fit.

Issue 05

The organisation is moving, but there is no shared picture of the direction.

Questions a Room can hold

  • Which rules of our industry have stopped paying?
  • What can't a competitor copy about us?
  • Where is AI adding activity but not change?
  • What are we trying to preserve as this grows?
  • What must change before succession can work?

What I do in the Room

  • Define the issue with the host before the session.
  • Help choose participants who know the issue from different angles.
  • Give the conversation enough structure to stay focused.
  • Surface points of agreement, disagreement and missing information.
  • Test whether the group is solving the right problem.
  • End with the decision, open questions, owners and next steps.

A useful shared account

  • A common account of the problem and why it matters now.
  • The decision the group needs to make.
  • Clear points of agreement, disagreement and uncertainty.
  • Named next steps, including anything that needs deeper work.

For people facing the same change

The same approach can help a leadership team, a group of clients, members of a professional community or stakeholders who need a common understanding before they can move.

For a larger community or several connected conversations, I adapt the format while keeping the experience participative: people think together rather than simply listen.
